Mellifloral founder, Dr. Angelina Perrotti, earned a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and has over 10 years of melissopalynology experience. Our pollen extraction procedure includes acetolysis, a chemical procedure that removes nuclear material from the pollen, leaving only a distinct pollen “skeleton”. Acetolyzed pollen is easier to confidently identify to a higher taxonomic resolution.

We offer various levels of pollen analysis, ranging from basic lists of primary pollen types to detailed quantitative analysis with percentages of major and minor pollen types.
